Rick and I realized today we have traveled over 50,000 plus miles since leaving on June 6. We have been gone 214 days and have slept in 41 different beds. We have traveled by car, train and plane, even took a boat for a short ride down the Danube. Today, I used the vacuum for the first time, can't say I missed that little chore, cleaning up dog and cat hair. We experienced really cold weather since last spring and I about froze. We are still in Durham, so until I actually step into my house on Saturday and sleep in my bed, can I say the journey is over.
Back to reality, but here are a few photos from our last two days in Hawaii and just a few from the entire year to recap our incredible trip. Thanks to our friends and family who made this possible by either keeping Kona or staying at our house, helping care for our car and house while we were away. Thanks to those who sent me nice emails to update me with the latest news. You know who you are! Lastly, thanks to those who decided to follow my blog. See you all soon.
